Working with leads

Find and update leads on the Leads tab: statuses, Reason, Nurture, notes, attachments, Qualified and lifecycle milestones.

A lead is a homeowner you're working toward a sale. Most leads are created for you when you log a CL, LD or CB knock on the Map. To add one by hand, tap + on the Leads tab, enter a name and a street address, and tap Create Lead.

Who sees which leads

  • Reps see the leads they set.
  • Closers also see every lead on their team.
  • Managers and admins see every lead in the organization.

My Leads, at the top of the tab, lists every lead where you are or were the setter or closer, even after it's reassigned.

Find a lead

  • Search leads... matches a first name, last name or address.
  • The person pill (Everyone, Just me or a teammate) filters by setter, and the date pill (All time, Today, This Week and so on) by when the lead was created. Clear resets both.
  • The row of pills filters by status and by the knock the lead came from. Appointment shows leads with a booked appointment.
  • The eye button adds hidden leads, marked Hidden.

Statuses

Some older leads show Qualified as their status.

Reason and Nurture

Reason records why a lead is where it is: Not interested, Applied – Failed Credit, Applied – Pending or Applied – Approved. The list shows a short form, such as Failed Credit. Tick Nurture to flag a lead worth coming back to.

You can change status, Reason and Nurture right on the list; each change saves straight away. The note icon opens the lead's notes, and the footsteps icon opens the read-only Knock Notes at this Address.

Open a lead

Tap a lead to open Edit Lead. The top holds Lead Status, Actions Taken (Price Estimate, Proposal Given), the name, Reason, Nurture, the address and the Setter and Closer. Below are three tabs: Lead Details, Appointments and Solar Estimate. Tap Save when you're done; the screen stays open. For the Appointments tab, see Booking appointments.

Lead Details holds phone, email, bill, roof and interest level, plus:

  • Lead Note: type a note and tap Add Note. To change a saved note, tap Edit on it, then Save Changes.
  • Knocks at this Address: every knock logged at the door. Tap one to read its note.
  • Attachments: tap Add files to attach a photo of the power bill, a PDF or a short video (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, PDF, MP4 or MOV, up to 25 MB). Large photos are shrunk to fit.

Who can edit a lead: its setter and closer, closers on the lead's team, managers and admins.

Qualified and milestones

In My Leads, tap a lead to open its lead page. Tick Qualified when the lead meets your organization's definition; the ⓘ next to it shows that definition, which an admin writes on the member screen. See Organization settings.

The Lifecycle tab tracks seven milestones, from Lending app finished to Customer installed and Commission paid. They're records, not steps: tick any of them, in any order. Add a date, a target date or a note, or mark one n/a, then tap Save, which counts your changes, for example Save (2). Only an admin can record Commission paid.

Delete a lead

On a lead you set, tap the red trash icon on its row. Tick I understand, delete this lead permanently and tap Delete. This also removes the lead's scheduled appointments.
