What is SolarKnock?
SolarKnock is a map-based app for door-to-door solar sales teams. Here is what it's for and what each tab does.
SolarKnock is an app for door-to-door solar sales teams. Reps record every door they knock on a map, turn good conversations into leads and appointments, and hand them to closers. Managers see the team's activity as it happens, assign territories and follow the leaderboard.
SolarKnock runs in your phone's web browser at https://app.solarknock.com. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like any other app: see Install SolarKnock on your phone.
The tabs
The bar along the bottom of the screen has seven tabs. Everyone sees all seven; what you can do inside some of them depends on your role (see Roles and permissions).
- Map: the home screen. Addresses in your area show as dots. Tap a house to record how the knock went, see who knocked there before, or open a solar estimate for the home. Managers and admins also draw territories here. See Using the map.
- Leads: the homeowners you're working. Filter by status (New, Qualified, Won, Canceled, Lost), then open a lead to update it, add notes and book appointments. See Working with leads.
- Schedule: your appointments on a calendar, upcoming and past. See Booking appointments.
- Stats: your numbers for today, this week, this month and more. Managers and admins can switch to Team Totals. See What the numbers on Stats mean.
- Team: the Leaderboard for your whole organization: doors, conversations, hours, appointments, deals and kWh. Managers and admins also get Territories. See The Team tab and the leaderboard.
- Auto: AutoKnock. Tap Start AutoKnock and SolarKnock logs the doors you walk past and, with your permission, records what's said at each door, so you can review it and submit it as knocks, leads and appointments. See How AutoKnock works.
- Profile: your name, photo and password, your organization, Google Calendar and your closer settings. Admins also find the organization's integrations here.
Who uses it
- Sales reps (setters) knock doors, record outcomes and set appointments.
- Closers are reps who also take appointments. Closer is a switch on a person, not a separate role.
- Managers run the team: territories, team numbers and inviting people.
- Administrators do everything a manager does, plus organization settings and integrations.
