Organization settings
Change your organization's name, solar estimate settings, the Qualified wording and commission rates, and manage territories.
Most organization settings live on the member screen: tap the people icon on the Team tab, or tap your organization's name on the Profile tab.
Who can do this: admins, unless a section says otherwise.
Organization name
At the top of the member screen, tap your organization's name, type the new one and tap the check mark.
Solar estimate settings
The numbers behind the solar estimate your reps see on a home's Estimate tab. To open them, tap the gear icon at the top right of the member screen, which opens Admin Settings on the Estimate Settings tab.
The Live column shows what reps see now. Make changes in Proposed Changes:
- Solar Estimate: Custom Adj/Watt, Tax Credit, Cost/Sq Ft, Max Shade Reduction and Roof-to-Home Ratio. Fixed Cost/Watt comes from Google's solar data and can't be changed.
- Financial: Utility Rate, Annual Increase, Loan Rate and Loan Term.
To try your changes before your reps see them:
- Under Test House, tap Set Test House and pick an address marked ☀️ (one with solar data).
- Tap Run Test and check the Estimate Results.
- Tap Publish to Live and confirm Publish.
The Settings History tab lists every published version. Tap Restore to go back to one; the current settings are saved to the history first. For what reps see on the Estimate tab, see Solar estimates.
What counts as Qualified
At the bottom of the member screen, write your organization's definition of a qualified lead. Reps see it behind the ⓘ next to Qualified on a lead. When a lead is marked qualified, the wording in force at that moment is saved with it, so later changes don't rewrite old leads.
Tap Save, then Save and Go Live to publish. Managers can read it but not change it.
Commission
Below the Qualified wording, tap a member to record their rates. As setter: Deal %, Per qualified appt and Per closed deal. As closer: Deal % and Per deal incentive. Tap Save, then Save and Go Live.
These are recorded for reference only: SolarKnock doesn't calculate pay from them. Managers can see them but not change them.
Territories
Who can do this: admins and managers.
Territories don't have a settings page of their own. You draw them on the Map with the pink button on the left, and you rename, reassign, extend, turn off or delete them from Territories on the Team tab. See Territories.
Note: Your organization's time zone decides where "today" starts on Stats, Team and Auto. It can't be changed in the app; tap Contact Us on the Profile tab if yours is wrong.
