Territories

Draw territories on the map, assign them to reps, and track them on the Team tab. Reps see their territories as pink outlines on the map.

A territory is an area you draw on the map and hand to one or more reps. It shows up as a pink outline, so everyone knows where to work. It's a guide: it doesn't stop anyone knocking elsewhere.

Who can do this: admins and managers create, edit and delete territories. Territory tools don't appear in a one-person solo account.

Draw a territory

  1. On the Map, tap the pink pencil button at the bottom left.
  2. Outline the area:
    • On a phone or tablet: tap the map to place boundary points. Drag a point to adjust it. The arrow in the pink banner removes the last point, and the circular arrow starts over.
    • On a computer: click and drag to draw the boundary in one stroke. You can then drag its points or click to add more.
  3. Once you have at least three points, tap Save Territory at the bottom, or Cancel to throw it away.
  4. Give it a Territory Name, check the Expires date (YYYY-MM-DD), and tap reps under Assign reps.
  5. Tap Save Territory.

If the area holds a lot of homes, SolarKnock warns you first. If it's too big, you'll be asked to draw a smaller one.

What you see on the map

Active territories are pink outlines. Down the left side, each has a small thumbnail with the initials of its reps. Tap a thumbnail to zoom to that territory; tap it again to deselect.

With more than seven active territories, the side rail shows only your own, plus a list button with the total. Tap it to pick any territory from TERRITORIES.

To edit a territory, tap its outline on the map, or press and hold its thumbnail. Change the Territory Name, Expires date or Assigned reps, then tap Save Changes.

What reps see

Reps see the active territories assigned to them or to their team, as pink outlines with thumbnails on the left. Tapping a thumbnail zooms to it. Reps can't draw or change territories. Closers see every active territory.

When a territory stops being active

A territory stops being active on its Expires date, or after eight days with no knocks inside it. It then disappears from the map.

Track and manage territories

On the Team tab, tap Territories. Each territory shows its reps, its status (Active, Inactive, Expired or Auto-disabled), its expiry date, and its knocks, leads, meetings, won deals and kWh.

Tap a territory for more: conversations and lost deals too, and the list under Leads in Territory. From there you can:

  • tap Edit to change the name, Expires (YYYY-MM-DD) date or Assigned Reps, then Save Changes;
  • tap Deactivate to take it off the map, or Reactivate to bring it back;
  • tap the trash icon to delete it. This can't be undone.

Note: To reactivate a territory whose expiry date has passed, tap Edit and set a future date first.
