SolarKnock is operated by Fable Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SolarKnock application and website at solarknock.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including knock activity, lead data, appointment records, and territory assignments you create.

Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's location to show your position on the map and enable canvassing features. You can disable location access in your device settings.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Property Data: We use publicly available county parcel data (addresses, owner names, assessed values) to power our address database and solar estimates.

SolarKnock uses Google APIs for sign-in, calendar integration, maps, and solar estimates. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

SolarKnock never reads event content, modifies, or deletes events that it did not itself create. Your Google refresh token is stored encrypted in our database and is used only to maintain this connection.

SolarKnock's use of Google Calendar data is solely for scheduling, displaying, and synchronizing SolarKnock appointments on your calendar. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, market research, training machine learning models, or any purpose unrelated to this feature. We do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data to third parties. We do not allow humans to read Google user data except where necessary to provide technical support explicitly requested by the user, for security or abuse investigation, or to comply with applicable law.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, hashed passwords, and session-based authentication. Organization data is isolated — data never moves between organizations.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you or your organization admin delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained indefinitely.

SolarKnock sends SMS/text messages to users who have opted in. Messages include:

Opt-In (voluntary): When creating an account at app.solarknock.com — either as an organization admin via the Free Beta signup at app.solarknock.com/join-beta, or as a sales rep via an invite code provided by your manager — you are offered an SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is unchecked by default and is NOT required for account creation; the Sign In button is enabled regardless of whether the box is ticked. The checkbox label reads: “Opt me in to SMS notifications about my knocking progress (optional)” with the following disclosure shown directly below: “All messages are configured by your manager. Message frequency varies by manager configuration. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See Terms and Privacy.” Your consent is recorded with a server-side timestamp only when you tick the box. SolarKnock only sends recurring SMS to users whose consent timestamp is set.

Opt-Out: You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any SolarKnock message. You will receive a confirmation of your opt-out. You can also contact support@solarknock.com to opt out.

Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity (typically 1–3 messages per active work day).

No Sharing: We do not sell, share, or use phone numbers or SMS opt-in data for purposes unrelated to the services you signed up for. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used solely for delivering the messages described above.

Mobile information sharing: No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other data-sharing exclusions in this policy specifically exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing/promotional purposes.

Carriers: Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
