Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SolarKnock application and website, operated by Fable Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using SolarKnock, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 16 years old to use SolarKnock.

Any user may create a free account and begin using SolarKnock immediately. Organization administrators may invite additional team members using invite codes.

2. Plans and Pricing

SolarKnock offers two flat-rate team plans:

• Team 10 — $250/month or $1,860/year (38% off annual): Up to 10 active sales reps. Includes territories, leaderboard, closer scheduling, manager dashboard, advanced analytics, CRM integrations, and priority support.
• Team 20 — $500/month or $3,720/year (38% off annual): Up to 20 active sales reps. All Team 10 features plus expanded seat capacity and custom team branding.

Pricing is per organization, not per seat. Add or remove reps within your seat limit at no additional charge.

3. Free Trial

Every new subscription receives a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. Stripe will prompt for a payment method near the end of the trial period; if no card is on file at trial end, the subscription will not auto-convert and your team's access pauses until you add one.

4. Billing and Payment

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, your choice at signup) via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method the flat-rate amount for your selected tier and interval.

• Flat-rate per organization: You are billed the full tier amount each cycle regardless of how many seats you actually fill, up to the seat limit. We do not bill per active rep, do not pro-rate by sign-in days, and do not charge for unused seats separately.
• Billing cycle: Each cycle begins on the anniversary of your subscription start date (the day after your trial ends).
• First charge: Your first charge occurs at the end of your 7-day free trial, assuming a payment method is on file. The amount is the flat tier amount you selected (e.g., $250 for Team 10 monthly, $1,860 for Team 10 annual).
• Disabled members: Organization admins may disable team members at any time from the Subscription page. Disabled members lose access immediately. Disabling does not change your bill — pricing is per-org tier, not per-seat.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each cycle until cancelled.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, your team retains access through the end of the current paid period. After that, the organization is paused and reps can no longer sign in.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, Stripe will retry automatically. If payment cannot be collected within a 5-day grace period, your subscription is paused. Your data is preserved for 30 days.
• Promotion codes: Discount codes (when offered) apply for the duration described on the code. Friends-and-family or other lifetime-discount codes remain valid for the life of the subscription unless we revoke them with 30 days’ written notice.
• Price changes: We may adjust tier pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice via email. You may cancel before any price increase takes effect.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled case-by-case. Email sales@solarknock.com with your request.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. SolarKnock does not store your credit card information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use SolarKnock for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data from the platform
• Attempt to access other organizations' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Share your login credentials with others
• Use property or homeowner data for purposes unrelated to solar sales canvassing

6. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By opting in to receive text messages from SolarKnock, you agree to the following:

• You consent to receive automated text messages at the phone number you provide
• Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the service
• Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences
• Message and data rates may apply
• You can opt out at any time by texting STOP
• Text HELP for assistance
• Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other major US carriers
• Neither SolarKnock nor mobile carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages

Mobile information sharing. No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in data) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other data-sharing exclusions in these Terms specifically exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; that information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing/promotional purposes.

7. Property and Address Data

SolarKnock provides publicly available county parcel data and solar estimates for canvassing purposes. This data is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency. Solar estimates are generated by the Google Solar API and are approximate.

8. Organization Data

Each organization's data is isolated. Organization managers control team access and are responsible for their team's use of the platform. Data does not transfer between organizations.

9. Intellectual Property

SolarKnock and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us. You retain ownership of data you input (leads, notes, appointments). By using the service, you grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your access ends and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

SolarKnock is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolarKnock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SolarKnock after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
