Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SolarKnock application and website operated by SolarKnock ("we," "us," or "our"). By using SolarKnock, you agree to these Terms.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 16 years old to use SolarKnock.

Any user may create a free account and begin using SolarKnock immediately. Organization administrators may invite additional team members using invite codes.

2. Plans and Pricing

SolarKnock offers two plans:

• Solo (Free): Available to all users at no cost. Includes core canvassing features, solar estimates, and personal activity tracking. Free forever — no credit card required.
• Pro Team ($12/active rep/month): Includes all Solo features plus team management, territories, leaderboard, closer scheduling, manager dashboard, analytics, CRM integrations, and priority support. Pricing is per active rep, per month.

3. Free Trial

Every new Pro Team organization receives a 7-day free trial with full access to all Pro features. A credit card is collected at signup but not charged during the trial period. If you cancel within 7 days, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial.

4. Billing and Payment

Pro Team subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method based on active rep usage.

• Per-active-rep pricing: You are billed $12.00 USD per active rep per month. An “active rep” is any team member who has signed in on 3 or more unique calendar days during the billing cycle. Reps who sign in on 2 or fewer days in a billing cycle are not counted and are not billed — this gives every rep a built-in trial period each month.
• Organization admin: The admin who created the organization always counts as 1 active seat, regardless of sign-in frequency.
• Billing cycle: Each monthly cycle begins on the anniversary of your subscription start date. Before each invoice is finalized, we automatically calculate the number of active reps from the current billing period and adjust your charge accordingly.
• First charge: Your first charge occurs at the end of your 7-day free trial. The amount is based on the number of active reps (3+ sign-in days) during the trial period, at $12.00 each.
• Disabled members: Organization admins may disable team members at any time. Disabled members lose access immediately and are excluded from billing.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew each month until cancelled.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, your Pro features remain active through the end of the current billing period. After that, your organization reverts to the Solo (free) plan.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, Stripe will retry automatically. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription may be suspended. Your data is preserved for 30 days.
• Price changes: We may adjust per-rep pricing with at least 30 days’ written notice via email. You may cancel before any price increase takes effect.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. SolarKnock does not store your credit card information.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use SolarKnock for any unlawful purpose
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export data from the platform
• Attempt to access other organizations' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Share your login credentials with others
• Use property or homeowner data for purposes unrelated to solar sales canvassing

6. SMS/Text Messaging Terms

By opting in to receive text messages from SolarKnock, you agree to the following:

• You consent to receive automated text messages at the phone number you provide
• Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the service
• Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences
• Message and data rates may apply
• You can opt out at any time by texting STOP
• Text HELP for assistance
• Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other major US carriers
• Neither SolarKnock nor mobile carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages

7. Property and Address Data

SolarKnock provides publicly available county parcel data and solar estimates for canvassing purposes. This data is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or currency. Solar estimates are generated by the Google Solar API and are approximate.

8. Organization Data

Each organization's data is isolated. Organization managers control team access and are responsible for their team's use of the platform. Data does not transfer between organizations.

9. Intellectual Property

SolarKnock and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us. You retain ownership of data you input (leads, notes, appointments). By using the service, you grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your access ends and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

SolarKnock is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SolarKnock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SolarKnock after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
